Solar Garden Lights – How to Change Their Batteries
Solar garden lights are very convenient because they don’t need any electricity to work. They get most of their energy from the sun. But what happens when your lights don’t turn on anymore? Does that mean you need new ones?
Not necessarily, when your solar lightings begin to glow dimmer and dimmer and then stop working. It is most likely that they need a change of battery.
Yes, even these use batteries, but they aren’t like any batteries. They’re solar batteries, meaning they do not hold any chemicals or electricity. What they do is absorb the energy from the sun and store it; comes night time they make the lights glow beautifully in your garden.
I must say, they do make great decoration for patios and backyards. Anybody who has a real sense of taste and cares about their outdoor’s appearance would use something like these.
As for changing the batteries, it’s very simple. Do not start taking it apart before you read the instructions manual, there might be a specific way to do it and any other way could ruin it for good.
The instruction manual should also include the type of solar batteries you will need. There are many different sizes and types of them which can be very confusing most of the time.
Keep in mind that you want to get ones that are rechargeable. No use getting something that will die out in a day or two.
After following the steps in your solar lights instruction manual you will only need replace the battery with the new one, very easily done but you have to be careful; some LED light bulbs can be very delicate.
If you want to prevent short lifespan for your batteries, just make sure your solar lighting is placed somewhere it can get full sunlight at least 7 hours a day.
